Holy Baptism

Baptism is the outward and visible action that demonstrates our commitment and connection to God.It is also our gateway into the Body of Christ, the worshipping and serving community called “Church.”

The congregation not only witnesses the vows of the baptized, the parents, and the godparents, but also reaffirms their own baptismal vows and pledges to uphold the newly baptized in their Christian life and faith. Baptism is a powerful, transformational moment for the entire faith community as we welcome our newest members, vow to support them, and reaffirm our own baptismal vows.

Therefore the person to be baptized, or in the case of children, their parent(s), must be actively worshipping Saint Timothy's.To arrange Baptism for yourself or your child, please contact our office.

Holy Matrimony

First let us say congratulations on your engagement! What a joyful thing it is to love someone so deeply that you choose to live the rest of our life with them.

For us weddings are a sacred act and not simply a commercial or legal transaction. Therefore entering into this relationship needs to be rooted in faith. It is never a private event and for that reason weddings take place in the midst of family and friends as well as in the presence of God.

Our expectation is that you will worship with us here at St. Timothy's as you prepare yourselves spiritually and that you will continue to take part in our community with your prayers, presence, and service throughout your married life. What this means is that at least one partner must be a baptized Christian and should be an active worshipping member of Saint Timothy's. Allowance may be made for those who are the child of parents or grandparents who are active members of the church or who may be active in other congregations but who, for geographical or family reasons, desire to be married here.

Weddings should be scheduled at least 6 months before the expected date. All couples are required to complete three to four sessions of pre-marital preparation with the clergy.

We want to do everything that we can to help you prepare for this important celebration.  For more information please contact our office.

Funerals and Burials

A death in the family should be reported to the clergy as soon as possible. We will assist you in every way possible during this time of grief and loss. If you wish to also arrange for burial in our Church Yard please let us know. Both full and cremation plots are available for our members. For non-emergency information on burial plots please contact the parish office.
