You are welcome here
From Mother Meghan
Join us to be part of an imperfect community of Christians committed to learning what it means to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. We need you to help us see the face of Christ in all we meet, striving to love our neighbor as ourselves. Come and see!
You Belong at St. Timothy’s!
We appreciate your interest in our community and want you to know that you will find
a warm and inclusive welcome in our parish.
Welcome to all experiences of race, culture, and language. St. Timothy’s is proud to be a parish in a vibrant and diverse city and diocese. We are stronger because of the diversity of our congregation.
Welcome if you are LGBTQIA+. St. Timothy’s played a key role in establishing the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania’s LGBTQIA+ Committee, and we want you and your loved ones to feel comfortable and fully included in our spiritual community. We are honored to accompany you on your journey of faith.
Welcome if you are disabled, unwell, struggle with physical, sensory, or mental health issues, are neurodivergent, or are recovering from addiction. Step-free access to the church is via the ramp on the south side of the building. Please feel free to reach out to the parish office ahead of your visit if you might require special assistance, and speak to an usher during service for additional guidance and help.
Welcome to people of all class and socioeconomic backgrounds. Our sanctuary and grounds reflect the historic beauty of the Episcopal tradition, but our congregation contains socioeconomic diversity, and we value you as a beloved child of God regardless of your finances.
Welcome regardless of your marital/relationship status or family situation. St. Timothy’s is a community organized around God’s love, with no preconditions for inclusion.
Welcome if you are agnostic, exploring your spirituality, rooted in a faith background other than Christianity, are wary of faith, are here to support a friend or family member, or are exploring your options for church membership. Our worship reflects the traditions of ancient Christian communities as those traditions have come down to us, through both Western European Catholicism and the English Reformation. If you would like to learn more about St. Timothy’s and the Episcopal tradition, please speak to our clergy or a Vestry member on duty.
Worship at St. Timothy’s is not the only way to do church; it is just our way. We hope that it intrigues, refreshes, and challenges you into a deeper relationship with Christ.
